Our Services
At Culture and Wellbeing C.I.C., we offer monthly programmes designed to support mental wellbeing, strengthen community bonds, and create space for learning, expression, and healing. Our services are shaped by the needs of British South Asian communities and delivered with care, creativity, and cultural understanding.
Wellbeing Activities
Yoga Class for
Calm and Balance
Our yoga sessions focus on gentle movement, breathwork, and relaxation techniques to support both mental and physical wellbeing. Ideal for beginners and those with limited mobility, these sessions help reduce stress, ease anxiety, and build inner calm. Guided by a culturally aware instructor, the sessions honour both traditional and modern approaches to mind-body wellness.

Knitting Class
Calm and Balance
Our knitting sessions offer a quiet, reflective space where creativity meets calm. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced crafter, you’ll find support, encouragement, and great conversation. These circles are especially valued by older women, providing an opportunity to share stories and wisdom across generations while creating something beautiful with your hands.

Dance Class for
Joy & Expression
Bollywood dance is a fun, high-energy way to connect with movement and culture. These sessions are about more than just choreography — they’re about letting go, feeling the music, and boosting your mood. Everyone is welcome, regardless of ability or experience. Expect smiles, rhythm, and plenty of fun!

Art & Craft Class
Calm and Balance
In our art and craft workshops, participants use colour, texture, and design to express themselves freely. These sessions support emotional wellbeing by allowing people to explore feelings, memories, and identity in a safe, non-verbal way. Projects may include painting, collage, textile work, and cultural craft traditions. No artistic experience is needed — just curiosity and an open mind.

Community Conversations
Bridging Generations
This session creates space for elders and younger people to come together and talk openly about generational differences, expectations, and shared experiences. We explore how values, traditions, and identities have shifted over time — and how we can learn from one another. These conversations are a powerful step toward healing intergenerational gaps and rebuilding trust.

Let’s Talk Mental Health
This is a safe, stigma-free space to talk about mental health within the South Asian context. We discuss issues such as anxiety, depression, loneliness, and emotional pressure — especially when cultural expectations make it hard to ask for help. By talking openly, we challenge silence and build understanding and support.

Culture, Faith and Identity
In this session, we reflect on how our cultural and spiritual beliefs shape who we are — and how they can sometimes create both strength and conflict. Whether you were born in South Asia or the UK, we invite you to explore questions of belonging, heritage, and what it means to live between cultures in today’s world.

Family, Relationships & Expectations
This session focuses on the emotional dynamics within families — from marriage and gender roles to career pressure, caregiving, and decision-making. These conversations allow participants to explore challenges in a supportive environment while recognising the impact of traditional expectations on mental and emotional wellbeing.

Ideal for older adults or anyone unfamiliar with technology, the session is delivered at a gentle pace with one-to-one support available.

Conversational English
This relaxed and friendly session supports anyone who wants to improve their spoken English — especially for everyday situations like shopping, appointments, or talking to neighbours. Through group conversation, role play, and real-life examples, learners build confidence without fear of judgment.

Life & Wellbeing Coaching (Coming Soon)
Emotional Wellbeing Support
This coaching focuses on emotional health and self-care. Participants learn techniques to manage anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, or relationship stress, especially when cultural stigma makes it hard to talk about mental health. Through supportive conversation and reflective exercises, we help people feel seen, heard, and emotionally grounded.

Coaching for Life Transitions
From marriage, divorce, and retirement to career changes or becoming a parent or carer — life transitions can be overwhelming. This coaching helps individuals make sense of change, let go of guilt or pressure, and move forward with strength and clarity. Sessions are tailored to each person’s cultural context and emotional needs.

Confidence & Goal-Setting Workshops
These small group workshops offer a structured space to build self-belief, explore purpose, and set achievable goals. Participants gain tools for time management, positive thinking, and boundary-setting — with guidance that acknowledges the unique pressures of juggling cultural expectations, personal identity, and everyday life.

Culturally Sensitive Support
All coaching is delivered with deep respect for cultural identity, family dynamics, and lived experience. Our coaches are trained to understand the complexities of British South Asian life, offering a safe, empowering space to grow and heal without fear of shame or stigma.
