Message from the Founder

Hello and welcome. My name is Sarvjeet, and I founded Culture and Wellbeing C.I.C. to support British South Asian communities in reconnecting with each other and with themselves.

South Asians are known for their strong family ties, rich traditions, and deep sense of community. But over time, I’ve seen how these very values especially when they clash with the realities of modern life can sometimes lead to misunderstanding, isolation, and emotional strain, particularly across generations.

This is not what our heritage stands for. Our ancestors taught us to care for each other, to live in harmony, and to honour every generation. Somewhere along the way, that sense of togetherness has weakened. I believe it’s time to realign our values so that our culture uplifts us not divides us.

Culture and Wellbeing was created to offer a space for all generations to come together, share openly, and explore what our traditions mean today. Through creativity, conversation, and care, we can build bridges between generations and support each other’s mental and emotional wellbeing.

Let’s take this journey together. With community, compassion, and courage we can make a real difference.

Warm wishes,

Sarvjeet Chahal
